David is an alumnus of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop (summer 2023) and has a BA in English from UC Berkeley. He was a finalist for the Aesthetica Creative Writing Award for his short story “Sweetheart” and for Sunspot Literary Journal’s Rigel Short Story Contest for “Eclipse.” Other works of his have been longlisted for Ireland’s Write By The Sea Writing Competition and The Queen Mary New Writing Prize from Wasafiri, the UK’s leading magazine for international contemporary writing. Most recently his short story “Can I Help You, Miss?” was among the winners of Uncharted Magazine’s Cinematic Story Contest, judged by New York Times Notable Book author Matt Bell. And his debut short story Collection Topanga Ranch Motel was longlisted for the Leapfrog Press Global Fiction Prize. He lives in Los Angeles, California.
